My first monster hunting game was Monster Hunter on the PSP. I didn’t like how hard it was, or how long it took, or really anything to do with it. It wasn’t that the game was bad, it was just ‘not my thing’ at the time, and in a way, not my thing now. Dynasty Warriors is quite frankly ridiculous. The characters are outlandish, the writing is cheesy, the gameplay is about single handedly destroying entire armies with lots of button mashing, the music is some bizarre mixture of classical Asian instruments with derivative metal, and the voice acting is so full of ham it should probably be forbidden to a number of major religions.
