Mozilla Presents BrowserQuest: a Browser-Based MMO

In our first official video, we take a quick look at BrowserQuest, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Mozilla. BrowserQuest runs entirely within the web browser without the need for Flash, leveraging key technologies such as HTML5, WebSockets, CSS3 and JavaScript.

    Had no idea they were working on tech like this.

    So it’s all possible with HTML5? Or am I missing the point?

      Yeah HTML5 is used for the canvas / sound, JavaScript for events, WebSockets for the MMO / multiplayer aspect, and CSS3 for mobile support & graphics.

      All pretty cool stuff.
