What is Shadowloo Showdown? An Interview with Ali ‘X’ Abdo

There’s nothing more the Dusty Cartridge crew loves more than some good ol’ fashion Street Fighter (unless you’re Adam in which case, you suck, go home). Luckily for the guys, OzHadou Nationals 11 was recently held in Sydney and the gang got to watch some of Australia’s best players go head to head for the chance to compete in the Evo 2013 world championships.

I also got the chance to catch up with Dusty Cartridge’s biggest fan (and by biggest, we mean muscliest mother trucker in town) Ali ‘X’ Abdo from The Shadowloo. “What the hell is a Shadowloo!?” Well grandpa, Shadowloo is a Melbourne based fighting game community, with its own headquarters, competitions and sheer sweaty charisma.

If you’re in the Melbourne area, or can get to the Melbourne area (pro tip: it’s south), and you feel as though your Street Fighter, Marvel vs Capcom, King of Fighters skills are up to it, why not participate in Shadowloo Showdown 2013? (The Shadowloo Official Website)

Full details of the event are still being organised, but it is being held from October 11-13th, so mark your calendars.
